About Us
Smart Energy's mission is to install renewable energy systems at schools, along with curriculum for students. Burning finite fossil fuels for energy is unsustainable, so we are nurturing the critical transition to clean, infinite energy sources like solar, wind and biofuels.

Goals:
1. Educate people about renewable energy & conservation.
2. Reduce schools' energy costs & dependence on fossil fuels.
3. Reduce pollution.
4. Train students in all facets of renewables.
5. Encourage communities to adopt renewables in homes and
    businesses.
Why do we need smart energy now?

Even if you do not believe in the danger of global warming, the fact is that fossil fuels are dangerous energy sources. The combustion of coal, oil and gas is harmful to humans. Air pollution from fossil fuel emissions is causing unprecedented rates of asthma, lung disease and premature death in our cities. As India and China rapidly grow their economies to attain America's standard of living, worldwide air pollution continues to worsen by the day. Earth is a closed system supporting 6 billion humans, so what happens throughout the world impacts each of us. Health and environmental problems will grow and persist until we stop burning fossil fuels, an eventuality assured by their finite nature. Right now we have the choice to gradually reduce our dependence on harmful fossil fuels. Clean energy technologies (solar, wind, biofuels) exist today that can dramatically reduce fossil fuel consumption. If we act to adopt smart energy now, there is still time to avert grave future consequences from our current energy path. We believe schools are a great place to start teaching communities how to use less fossil fuel energy and more renewable energy.
